OBITUARY - The Danville News, Danville, Pennsylvania 19 February 1983 Saturday
Christopher C. Lynn Jr., 60, of 2204 Bloom Road, died early Saturday morning at the Geisinger Medical Center. He had been in ill health for the past four months. He was a lifelong resident of Danville and was the son of the late Christopher Lynn and Martha Gertrude Cain Lynn.
He was born December 20, 1922, in Riverside.
He was married to the former Betty J. Payne for the past 40 years. He was a member of the St. James United Church of Christ, where he served as an elder, a veteran of World War II and was on the board of the American Red Cross and a member of the Southside Fire Company, the Danville Elks, and the national Association of Accountants.
He has been employed at Kennedy Van Saun Corporation for the past 4 1/2 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons: Dr. Larry Lynn, Sterling, Virginia; George at the University of West Florida; Dale of Spring City, Pennsylvania; two daughters: Mrs. Paul (Linda) Weaver, Danville; Mrs. Michael (Connie) Ryan, Elysburg; four brothers: Harry of Riverside; Woodrow and Ralph, both of Danville; Thomas of White Deer; four sisters: Mrs. Frank (Loretta) Hendricks, Riverside; Mrs. Edith Heimbach, Bloomsburg; Mrs. Frank (Esther) Cotner, Washingtonville; and Mrs. Fred (Leona) Bower, Milton; and nine grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were two brothers: Robert and Walter; and a sister: Mrs. Anna Bell Strausser.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. from the John J. Brady Funeral Home, Danville. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Cemetery, Lime Ridge, with the Rev. Richard Shearer, his pastor, officiating.
