Curtis L. Cooper, age 47, of Erwin, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at the Holston Valley Medical Center.
He was a native of Unicoi County and a son of Janice Faye Tipton Cooper and the late George P Cooper.

Curtis served in the United States Navy and was employed as a Chemical Operator for Eastman. He was a member of Evergreen Free Will Baptist Church. Curtis enjoyed the Southeastern Autorama, golf and was an avid Vols fan.

His biological mother was Alice Ruth Edwards Effler, who died in 1968.
His biological father was Graham Luther Effler who died in 2015.
