Edward is survived by his four children: Colleen (Overton) Stratton and her husband, James, Lexington, Kentucky, Boyd Overton and his wife, UnaV, Gladwin, MI, Theodore Firmingham, Oklahoma and Edward M. Firmingham, Saginaw; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five brothers; six sisters; many nieces and nephews. Besides his two wives, Edward was predeceased by a grandson, Edward Firmingham;
a great-grandson, Tyler Grappin; seven sisters: Lillian Cramer, Maxine Bethune, Betty Jane Berger, Elaine Cramer, Geraldine Davis, Gwendolyn Fulton, Donna Jean Griffiths; three brothers: Joseph Dinninger, John Dinninger and Larry Dinninger.
The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Ames United Methodist Church, 801 State St. Rev. Mark Karls will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military services. Friends may call at W.L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
