Michael and Mary were born in Germany and arrived in America-Philadelphia on the ship " Chance" on 09/09/1765. They settled in Lancaster, PA later moved to Wythe County, VA and then to Sullivan County, TN. - info courtesy of Contributor: Moments In Time (48218027)

"Henry donated the land where the camp meetings were held, later for a cemetery and his nephew, Henry Cattron Hicks later donated adjoining land for a Methodist church, which is today called Arcadia Methodist Church and cemetery...
