A cenotaph may be found at the Canadian Commonwealth Memorial Monument at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Colma, California.

The following information was found and provided by Ms. Jill Bratcher:
Mr. Edwards was on "loan" to the Canadians at the time of his death. He was in San Francisco and was in a car accident. No one having claimed him, he was buried in the pauper's section. In fact, his grave had no marker until about five years ago, the Canadian War Graves Commission paid for one. "They were just out here recently to tend to his grave," I was told by a member of the Live Oak Cemetery Association. She explained that "sapper" was his rank. The only information she had that was not on the marker was his birth date of 15 December 1901.
