"Elmer A. Abrams, 85, a retired auditor for Kemper Insurance Company in Syracuse and lifelong area resident, died Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at St. Luke´s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh.

The son of the late Elmer Abrams & Frances Gay Abrams, he was born September 1, 1920 in Monroe.

He was married to the late Catherine Triggiani Abrams.

He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps serving during World War II. He was a member of the Cornerstone Masonic Lodge #711 F & AM; lifemember of the Central Valley Fire Company; member of the Woodbury Field & Stream Club and the Central Valley United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his sons: Keith Abrams - Wappingers Falls, Kevin Abrams - Central Valley & Jeff Abrams - Central Valley; daughter: Wanda Herr - Central Valley; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by his son Wayne Abrams and one grandson.

There will be no visitation.

Funeral will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be in Cemetery Of The Highlands, Highland Mills.
