7. Asa Lapham born 1792, NY died 1856, Livonia, Wayne, MI. He married Charlotte Braley in 1814. She was the daughter of Nathaniel and Cynthia (Carpenter) Braley. She died in 1818. His second marriage was to Sarah "Sally" Allen, whom he is buried with in Clarenceville Cemetery, Livonia, Wayne, Michigan. Third marriage was to Abigail Mott. In 1840, Asa was living in Farmington, Oakland, MI. Listed are 3 males: one (15-20), one (20-30) and one (40-50, Asa). Five females: one (under 5), one (10-15), one (15-20) and one (20-30). Sarah died in 1839.

8. Cynthia Lapham 1797, NY, died October 29, 1875, Farmington, Oakland, MI. She married Elisha Roberts.

Son of Joshua Lapham 1721-1799 and Hannah Shearman 1727-1797.

Asa settled in Macedon, Wayne Co, NY in 1791, as did his brother David. He also lived in Collins, Erie, NY.

In the federal census of 1810 for Palmyra, Ontario County, NY, a Hannah Lapham is listed with one female over 45 (herself); two males (16-25), Eli and Asa, meaning Ethan (who would be 28 was gone): two females (10-15) and one female (less than 10). However, ages conflict with daughters' years of birth. If this is, indeed, Hannah Aldrich Lapham, then this means that Asa would have died BEFORE 1810.

His father's (Joshua) will, signed November 9, 1793 and probated January 7, 1800, states "I give to my son Asa Lapham 15 silver dollars in money. I give to the five eldest children of Asa Lapham 6 pounds each to be paid them in money." That means that Asa was alive in 1793 and probably in 1800.
