Funeral services for Filmore Carder were held from Connelly Funeral Home in Three Oaks Sunday afternoon at two O'clock, the Rev. L. W. Manning, pastor of the local Methodist church officiating.

Mr. Carder was born August 14, 1880 in Monroe county, Kentucky the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Carder. He was married to Helen Webb, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Webb, October 30, 1904.

He came to Michigan and was employed at the Warren Oak Meadow farm for a number of years. He was a lifelong member of the Baptist church.

Mr. Carder died at Barrien Springs at the age of 65 years, Friday morning, after a long illness. He is survived by a son Claxter Carder, and two daughters, Miss Amy Carder, Three Oaks and Mrs. George Annabel, New Buffalo.

Interment took place in Forest Lawn cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Clarence Martin, Adin Sittig, Ferdinand McKie, Glen Ashcraft, Irvin Annable and Mr. Messer." From the Galien River Gazette, July 12, 1934
