Carl Seastedt old resident of Rapids, dies.
Death relieved Otto Carl Seastedt, farmer resident of rural
route 4, town of Rapids yesterday after many months suffering
from a complication of diseases. An only daughter, Mrs Edward
Ajman, who made her home with him gave him the best of care
during his illness. The decedent was a native of Sweden where
he was born October 15, 1856, being six-five years old. For
many years he had made his home at Galesburg, I'll., and twenty-
five years ago he located on a farm in the town of Rapids. Here
his wife died eight years ago. Her remains were taken to
Galesburg for burial and Mr. Seastedt will also be buried there.
Funeral Services were held at the William Frazier undertaking
parlors this afternoon, Rev. Simons of the M.E. church officiating.
Besides his daughter he has one brother, Rudolph Seastedt, a
resident of Galesburg, surviving him.
