James "Jim" Vernon St. Cin, 56 of Wardell, died Dec. 29, 2003, at the Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis, TN. He was born Sept. 17, 1947 in Gideon to Vernon "Doc" and Nellie Davis St. Cin.
He was a member of the Church of God in Gideon and attended the Wardell Baptist Church.
He was a former mayor of Wardell, president of the Wardell Lions Club, treasurer of the North Pemiscot school board and a member of the American Legion. He was the post master of the Wardell post office.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
On June 18, 1983, he married Johnna Walker in Wardell. She survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Sonya Kaye St. Cin-Haddock of Chattanooga, TN; two sons, Zachary Allen St. Cin and Grant Walker St. Cin, both of the home; and one brother, Gerald St. Cin of Flint, MI.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister, Anna Ruth Holt.
The funeral service with military rites will be today at Wardell Baptist Church, with the Rev. Griff Walker officiating. Burial will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield. Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden is in charge of arrangements.
