Reeves - Herman L. Stanley, 79, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in a local hospital.

Born in Green Island, La., Mr. Stanley lived in DeQuincy prior to moving to Reeves. He was a retired Truck Driver, and served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Ragley. Herman loved to hunt and fish. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife Peggy Stanley of Reeves; sons, Danny Barlow, Herman Stanley, Jr., Mark Stanley, Billy Bird (Connie) Stanley; daughters, Lauri (Clint) Benoit, and Debrah Butler, and Dena (John) Webb; stepchildren, Vicki Reeves and husband Ronnie and Billy
(Vickie) Bartow; 22 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Larry and Kenneth Stanley.

His funeral service will be at 11:00am Saturday, May 24 at Hixson Snider Funeral Home with Rev. Sean Chisholm and Deacon Patrick LaPoint officiating. Burial will be in Creel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, May 23 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and resume on Saturday at 8:00am until service time at the funeral home.
