Benjamin Watson, of 955 E. Summit St., Alliance, Ohio, departed this life on Saturday, May 17, 2014. Ben was born Feb. 12, 1944, to the late Edward and Annie Bell (Nicholson) Watson and was a lifelong resident of Alliance.
Ben retired from General Motors in Lordstown and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He loved his family and enjoyed a hobby of collecting and working on cars, and traveling.
Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Watson of Cleveland, Ohio, and Tina Hancock of Alliance, Ohio; three sons, David Watson of Dover, Ohio, Antonio (Jaime) Watson of Alliance and Shawndel Watson of Clearwater, Florida; two sisters, Annie Ruth Watson and Daisy Adams of Alliance; one brother, Aaron (Eleanor) Watson of Columbus, Ohio; former wife and very special friend, Brunell Watson of Alliance; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one aunt; one uncle; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Susan Ann Watson; and grandson, Chase T. Watson; two sisters, Annie Mae (Watson) Blue and Arlynn (Watson) Porter; and one brother, Edward Watson Jr.
Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery. (5-22-14)
