Funeral for Murray Hood Harris Jr., 68, of Courtland will be Monday, January 2, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Courtland Presbyterian Church with Pastor David Hammond officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Harris passed away Friday, December 30, 2011. He was a retired farmer and an Elder at Courtland Presbyterian Church. He was appointed by President Bush to the Farm Service Agency Board. He was a member of Mooreland Hunt and competed in retriever hunt tests.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Diane Agnew Harris; one son, Murray Hood Harris III; and two sisters, Susan Harris Willis and Teasley Cortner White.
