Mrs. Tyner was born Feb. 22, 1909, at North Liberty, Iowa, to Isaac and Ivy Meyers. She grew up and attended school there and high school at Iowa City, Iowa. She attended Cornell College at Mount Vernon, Iowa, and graduated from Coe College at Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with a degree in music education. She had taught music in the consolidated system at New London, Iowa, and also at Des Monies, Iowa. She married Frank B. Tyner of New London, June 12, 1935, at North Liberty, Iowa. They had lived in the Bemidji area since 1975, and she was a member of Evangelical Free Church.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Richard, Bemidji; two grandchildren; and a brother, Dale Meyers, Davenport, Iowa.
