Dale Estyle Watkins, 84, of Memphis, Missouri and formerly of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, died Sunday, February 23, 2014, at his home in Memphis.

He was born December 9, 1929, at Elijah, Missouri to Sigel Larkin and Ernie Frances (North) Watkins.

He graduated from high school at Bakersfield, Missouri. He enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Korean War.

Dale married Mary Kathryn Burge at Alton, Missouri on February 1, 1958 and to this union two children were born.

He was a self-employed salesman and manager of Meek Lumber Company in various locations in Southern Missouri and Arkansas. He was also an accomplished carpenter and woodworker. Following his retirement in 1991, he and his wife moved to Sunrise Beach, Missouri, at the Lake of the Ozarks area. There he enjoyed watching fox, deer and turkey at his home.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, an infant granddaughter, Cassandra Barszczak, and his wife on November 15, 2007.

He is survived by a son, Randy D. Watkins and his wife, Anita, of Memphis, Missouri, a daughter, Victoria Barszczak and her husband, James, of Independence, Missouri, and a daughter Sandra O'Malley of Oklahoma. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Amanda Watkins, Riley Watkins and J
