Born in Exeter, NH on Aug. 26, 1957, he was the son of Frances (LaBelle) Joyce and the late Robert J. Joyce. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of North Shore Technical High School, Class of 1975.
In recent years, Mr. Joyce was employed as a mechanic for the U.S. Postal Service and a member of the American Postal Workers Union, Local #366. For many years, he was employed at the Shell Station on High Street in Danvers, and had also worked for J. Masterson Construction in Danvers and Cummings Properties in Beverly.
Besides his wife and mother, he leaves two sons, Joseph Joyce and James Joyce, both of Danvers; three sisters: Linda Casali and Barbara Farese of Danvers and Kathleen Joyce of Groveland; three brothers-in-law: Paul, Ronald, and Michael Genest; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Robert Joyce II and Carolyn Mills.
