Barry L. Fowler, age 69 of Northwood, Ohio passed away on December 27, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 5, 1944 to Walter and Audrey Fowler. Barry served in the United States Army from 1961-1964 and was honorably discharged. Barry was employed as an engineer for Conrail and later operated his own insurance agency until retirement. He enjoyed his classic 1965 GTO, antique tractors, immaculately maintaining his beautiful home, listening to oldies, and entertaining his grandchildren that he loved so much. Barry also enjoyed spending time with his family at his vacation home on Douglas Lake in Tennessee. Relaxing, boating, and pulling his grandchildren around on tubes brought him much happiness. Barry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carol (West) Fowler; his children, Amy (Dan) Schoenherr and Suzanne (Jeff) Stefanski ; his grandchildren, Gabrielle Seger, Brock Schoenherr, Alexandra Schoenherr, Brad Parks, and Jack Parks; puppies, Paris and LuLu; siblings, Judy Stout, Randy (Anne) Fowler, Sheila (Doug) Busch, and Andrea (Dan) Prewitt. Barry is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his step-father and buddy, Roy Brueschaber. Friends may call the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 2:00 pm-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorials in Barry's name may be directed to the American Heart Association or American Lung Association.
