In memory of Anne E. Francis, a lovely girl who died much too young.
Anne was born about 1875 in New York. She appears in the 1880 census for Leicester, Livingston County, NY at age 4. The family moved to Ponca Nebraska about 1890.
She passed away in January of 1892 about age 17. This information is handwritten on the back of a photo from the family album.
Note: Another daughter appears in the New York State Census, named Lillian. She was 4 months old in mid June of 1875. I believe they may have given Annie's name as Lily Anne as Lily is a nickname for Elizabeth. Since Annie was missing from that census and it's definitely the same family, noting location, places of birth, other families on the page, etc., whatever the reason for the name Lillian it must be Annie.
