Dan LaPrarie, 79, died Sunday at Richland Parish Hospital in Rayville after a long illness.

Services were held Monday at First Baptist Church in Delhi with the Rev. Everett Geis officiating.

Burial was in Providence Memorial Cemetery in Delhi under direction of Kidder-Cox Funeral Home in Delhi.

Mr. LaPrarie was a longtime resident of Delhi. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Delhi, and owned and operated a business in Delhi for a number of years.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bessie LaPrarie of Delhi; a son, Bud LaPrarie of Delhi; two daughters, Mrs. Anna "Boogie" Laird of Delhi and Mrs. Dorothy Goode of Lake Providence; a brother, Allen LaPrarie of Delhi; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Raymond Barrios, W. B. Sumner, W. A. Gaharan, Gus Frances, Travis Richards and Charles Tharpe.
