Jonathan E. Evans, 61, of McCordsville, passed away on Monday May 19, 2014 at his home. He was born May 27, 1952 in Anderson, Indiana to the late Harry and Edith (Eckstein) Evans.

Jon was a graduate of Ball State University with a B.A. in Accounting. He was the controller for Empro in Indianapolis since 1984 and also did private accounting work. Jon loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. He was an avid fisherman and loved Colts football.

Jon is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Oliver) Evans of McCordsville; sons, Chris Evans of Anderson, Nick (Lisa) Taylor and Clay (Sarah) Johnson, all of Menomonee, WI; brothers, Jeff (Dawn) Evans of Ludington, MI, James Evans of Indianapolis; sisters, Joni (Jim) Breeden of Anderson, Julie Rushton of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Peyton Evans, Joey Taylor, Sam Johnson and Lilly Johnson.

Friends may call on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel , 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 23 in the funeral home, with burial to follow in Pleasant Walk Cemetery, Anderson.
