William K. Biggs, 90, well known historian of Crawford and Jasper counties, died Monday night at the Rest Haven Nursing Home at Newton after a long illness.
The remains were taken to the Pulliam Funeral Home at Robinson for funeral arrangements.
The son of James and Rose Newlin Biggs, pioneer settlers in Crawford County, he was town clerk here for 24 years, 1945-69.

He is survived by his wife, Elnora; one sister, Mrs. Belva Garrard, Robinson; a brother and four stepdaughters, Mrs. Alma Matthews, Mrs. Bonita Welter and Mrs. Leona Brown, all of Robinson and Mrs. Opal Zerkel, Trimble.
