BOORMAN

John Gregory Boorman passed away in the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at the age of 38 years with family at his side.
John grew up and attended school in Rimbey and then went on to the University of Alberta to complete a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Bachelor of Science Degree. With this education John worked at his consulting business as a fisheries biologist. When he wasn't working John enjoyed spending time with family and friends, travelling, skiing, coaching and playing volleyball, hockey and golf.
Father, husband, brother, son and friend, John is lovingly remembered as a bright light who's kindness and humility brought out the best in those around him.
John is survived by his wife, and two children.
A memorial service celebrating John's life was held July 13, 2012 in Red Deer. The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words and comforting support during this very difficult time.
Memorial donations may be made to The Melanoma Network of Canada (www.melanomanetwork.ca) or the Red Deer Hospital Palliative Care Ward (Unit 32).
