Jerome W. Porter, Sr. 62, son of the late Elwood, Jr. and Mary E. Pitts Porter, departed this life on Monday, May 5th while a patient at Inspira Medical Center Elmer.
Mr. Porter was born in Elmer and was lifelong Salem County resident. He was a member of St. Pentecostal Church Salem.
He leaves to cherish his memory wife, Betty Ann McCray Porter, children Edward, Jerome, Jr, Barry and Jasmine; siblings Elwood, III and Norma Jenkins, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 1pm at St John Pentecostal Church New Market St. Salem, where family and friends may attend a viewing from 11am-1pm. Interment Mt. Zion AME Cemetery. www.edwardsandsonfuneralhome.com
