Larry Lee Singleton
Larry Lee Singleton, 72, of New Castle, died Monday Nov. 4, 2013. He was the son of the late James and Emma (James) Singleton, he was a University of Kentucky graduate and a retired teacher of Eastern High School in Louisville after 27 years of service. He was a farmer and the owner/operator of Doddy Trailer Sales in New Castle. He was a member of the New Castle Masonic Lodge and New Castle United Methodist Church. Larry was very proud to be a long-time contributor of AA.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Cook) Singleton, New Castle; one daughter, Sloan Singleton and husband, Mike Catron, Columbia; one son, L. Lee Singleton, II, Louisville; one sister, Sue Zachari and husband, Edward, Lexington; six grandchildren.
Funeral service were at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Rev. David Combs and Rev. Garry Polston officiated. Burial was in New Castle Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lee Singleton, Billy Bob Coomes, Roy Lyons, Tommy Singleton, Pat Vaughn, Mike Catron, Matt Adams and Jeff Adams.
Memorial Contributions may be made to New Castle United Methodist Church.
Visitation was held Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
