"Henry Warner, of East Liberty, was instantly killed by lightning, on Tuesday the 7th. He had been at work in a field, with his hired man, but a storm coming up, both started for the barn, when a stroke of lightning killed Mr. Warner and the horse he was riding, and felled the hired man to the ground, though not seriously injuring him."
