Wauneta passed away after a courageous battle with lung cancer at her home in Phoenix. She was the daughter of Albert Sr. and Flora (Glenn) Curry. She married Kevin Cox.
Survivors include her husband, her children, Yo'NasDa Muhammad and Ngozi Lone Wolf, one grandson, her siblings, Devona Lone Wolf, Wilma Two Two, Faith Richards, Mary Curry, Tonia Priestley, Kim, Keeley, and Kina Clausen, Albert Curry Jr., Gino Curry, Elmer Fire Thunder, and Jesse, Shane, and Shadow Clausen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jeffery Curry, and her grandmothers, Marion Lone Wolf and Mabel Cottier.
She was nationally recognized for her motivational and spiritual training seminars. Offering more than 20 years of experience, she was honored with the name of Wakiya Lu'ta W'in (Red Thunder Woman) to assist her on the healing path to create a balance for humanity.
Funeral services were held at American Horse School in Allen. Interment was in Inestimable Gift Episcopal Cemetery.
