Betty Lou Jackson, 81, of Lefors, died May 19, 2014 in Pampa.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Central Baptist Church in Pampa, with Bro. Norman Rushing, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Heights Cemetery in Lefors, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.

Mrs. Jackson was born November 22, 1932 in Erick, Oklahoma where she was reared and attended school. She married Walter Jackson on October 24, 1951 in Sayre, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on December 1, 2013. She had been a resident of Lefors since 1951. She was a former member of First Baptist Church of Lefors and was a current member of Central Baptist Church of Pampa. Betty will be remembered as a thoughtful, caring and giving person who will be greatly missed. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt and Iva Goldsmith; a sister, Sue Danley; and a brother, Henry Goldsmith.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Gordon and husband Ron of Clarkston, Washington; a son, Larry Jackson of Lefors; 3 nephews who were raised as sons, Russell Jackson and wife Diane of Amarillo, Barry Jackson and wife Lendi of Lefors, and Mike Jackson and wife Sabrina of Albuquerque, New Mexico; five grandchildren, Michelle Samuelson and husband Michael of Salt Lake City, Utah, Dustin Gordon of Clarkston, Washington, Jason Gordon and wife Ashleigh of Kellogg, Idaho, Larry Lee Jackson of Pampa, and Sonia Jackson of Borger; two great-grandchildren, Jak Gordon of Kellogg, Idaho, and Makayla Samuelson of Salt Lake City, Utah; three great-nephews, Josh Jackson and wife Darby of Pampa, Cory Jackson and wife Alex and Drake Jackson and wife Bailey, all of Amarillo; and two great-nieces, Katisha Sumner and husband Shane of Spearman and Emily Sprouse and husband Jeremy of Hobbs, New Mexico.

Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 513 E. Francis, Pampa, Texas 79065.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 Friday, May 23, 2014, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home in Pampa.
