Mrs. Adaline M. Waddington died suddenly at her home in this city of heart failure on Saturday night at about 11:45. She had been in poor health for more than a year but lately appeared better. She was about as usual on Saturday, in fact more active than ordinarily and made a trip to town between five and six o'clock. The evening was spent at home with a friend and as late as 9:30 she walked about four blocks and returned and later retired for the night. About 11 o'clock she was stricken and before medical aid arrived she had passed.
The funeral was held at her home on Tuesday, June 20th and interment was made in Union Grove cemetery beside her husband who predeceased her twenty six years ago.
Deceased was born in Springfield, Ill., Aug. 30, 1839 and had reached the ripe age of 77 years, 10 months and 18 days. Her maiden name was Nichols and while but a mere child she came with her parents to Wisconsin. In 1859 she was married to the late Captain L.B. Waddington of Argyle. They moved to Darlington in 1870, where they have since resided.
