Isack Bodenheimer (1854-1941)
Wife: Johanna Bodenheimer (11/30/1853 - 09/01/1925)
Children: Hermine, Jenny, Bertha, Berthold, Selma, Wilhelm

Selma and Wilhelm died young. Hermine died at 38. Berta survived the Holocaust.

In 1939, Isack he was forced to leave Waibstadt and emigrated to his son Berthold Bodenheimer (born in 1885) to Rotterdam where he died in 1941.

Berthold Bodenheimer - together with his wife and his two daughters - was murdered in Auschwitz.

The gravestone in Waibstadt says "Isack died on his 87th birthday in Rotterdam" (it is only a ‘memorial reminder' for him; he is NOT buried there and he would have probably died before Johanna. In those days you could not transfer a dead corpse from one country to another; so, he is most probably buried in Rotterdam/Holland).

For Johanna it says born 30.Nov.1853, died 1.Sept.1925.

The installation of seven Stolpersteine in Waibstadt took place in 2012. The research, planning and organization was done by our society. One of these Stolpersteine has been installed to commemorate Isaak Bodenheimer (born 8-29-1854). In 1939 he had left Waibstadt and moved to Rotterdam where his son Berthold lived. Isaak died in Rotterdam in 1941.
