Laura Maxine Murphree, 82, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 17, 2014. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Thursday in Ash Creek Cemetery in Azle. Laura, the daughter of William and Thelma Sammons Raines, was born in Whitley County, Ky. She retired from Frito-Lay after 33 years of service. Following retirement, she became a caregiver to the elderly. She was a member of Azle Apostolic Church. Laura was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Jr. and Walton. Survivors: Husband, Bobby Murphree; children, Phillip Murphree, Sharron Murphree, Lydia Mann, Loretta Simmons; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, Phillip Lowery.
