Gladys Schmidt passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 7 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson following a short illness. A California native and long time Turlock resident, Gladys was active in the community with husband Bob and the Turlock Rural Fire Department auxiliary. She later moved to Modesto residing at Standiford Place and will be missed by many friends. Gladys was an avid artist and knitter over the years leaving us a legacy of paintings and warm clothing to help remember her. Our best memories of Nana though are of her loving and cheerful nature that all who knew her can treasure.
She is survived by her son, Dan Schmidt; one grandaughter and two grandsons.
