On September 30, 1933 in Newport, IN, Elsie married W. Isaac Traphagan, who preceded her in death on October 10, 1990. She has lived in the South Bend area since 1950 coming from Champagne, IL.
Elsie is survived by sons, Ronald Traphagan of Walkerton and Allan Traphagan of South Bend; daughter-in-law, Delores Traphagan of South Bend; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a brother, Russell (Kathleen) Hawn of Cayuga, IN. She was preceded in death by sisters, Sarah Hawn and Blanche Jennings; and brothers, Glen, Gleason and Forrest Hawn.
Elsie was a member of Sumption Prairie United Methodist Church and Eastern Star #290.
Funeral services for Elsie will be held at (time, day, date) at Sumption Prairie United Methodist Church, 24535 Roosevelt Road, South Bend, IN 46614. Rev. Charles Ternet will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from (time, day, date) in the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan Street, Lakeville, IN 46536.
