Randall Henry "Randy" Stevens, 55, of Lovingston died suddenly on Monday, May 12, 2014 at his residence.

Born on Nov. 21, 1958 in Charlottesville, he was a son of the late Emmett Henry "Dickie" Stevens and Shirley D. Stevens, of Faber.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a son, Dustin Scott Stevens and two brothers, Michael D. Stevens and Gerald D. "Jerry" Stevens.

Randy was a self-employed stonemason, simple handy man, gardener and craftsman who also loved cooking and grilling.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his best friend and companion, Vicki Weatherholtz, of Lovingston; two sons, Dylan R. Stevens, of Lovingston, and Kane J. Stevens, and Kimberly, of Esmont; one daughter, Lindsay G. Stevens, and Marque, of Lovingston; two brothers; Kenneth D. Stevens, and Doris, of Arrington and Jeffrey D. Stevens, of Faber, one sister, Sandra K. Orme, and Wayne, of Howardsville; one sister-in-law, Ann M. Stevens, of Madison, two grandsons, Xander and Malik and two granddaughters, Cassidy and Harmony. Vicki's parents, Red and June Stinespring, of Waynesboro, and her sisters; Kim Reynolds, and Keith, and Gina Robertson, and Jesse, also survive him.

A funeral service was conducted May 16 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Lovingston with Pastor David Christian and Jeffrey Stevens officiating. Interment followed in the Centenary Memorial Cemetery in Arrington. Arrangements are under the direction of Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel, Lovingston.
