Mrs. Connie Burns Yancey, 88, of Valdese, went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday January 26, 2011 from Autumn Care Nursing Center, after a period of declining health.

Mrs. Yancey was born November 12, 1922 in Burke County to the late Walter J. and Bessie Hudson Burns.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Yancey , her son Roger Yancey, a sister, Ray Paige and her grandson Jeff Yancey.
