After moving to San Francisco in 1979, she was employed in management positions at AT&T and IBM. On September 15, 1993, she married Jordon Zorker. She and Jordon curated a reading series together at Canessa Gallery. In 2000, she co-founded EtherDome Press devoted to publishing first chapbooks by women. Colleen was herself a poet and published two collections of her own poems: "Incognita" in 1992 and "the forgetting of" in 2011. Known for her pioneering spirit and fiercely honest voice, Colleen led a successful career in corporate life alongside her original poetic endeavor combining language with visual poetry.
Coleen love to travel and especially enjoyed trips to Paris, France with her husband. She loved her family, her aunts and uncles and cousins with whom she spent summer vacations on their farms while growing up. The arts, music and drama were among her favorites in high school.
Collen was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Dwight and Dennis.
