Town's Tree Expert Passes Away

B.C. Howell Died This Morning While on a Business Trip in New York State.

B.C. Howell, who for the past year has been the tree expert in charge of the tree work in this town, passed away this morning at the home of his son in Tarrytown, N.Y.

Mr. Howell was 74 years of age and had been a resident of this town for the past fifteen years. He was born in Ithaca, N.Y., and the greater part of his life was spent as a civil
engineer and mining expert. He left his home about a week before Christmas for the purpose of examining an iron property in New York State in which he was interested. He was stricken with paralysis on Christmas Eve and although he rallied slightly the physicians pronounced that the end was near.

Mr. Howell is survived by his widow, three daughter and one son.
