Mr. Jeff T. Griffin, 59, of Cecil, Georgia, passed away April 22, 2014 at his residence. He was born November 29, 1954 in Indiana to the late Horace Thaye Griffin and Pearl Ann Roll Griffin. He was a life-long resident of Cook County and was a member of Cecil Baptist Church. He worked as a salesman for Patterson-Griffin Shoes and was also a musician and recording artist. Mr. Griffin is survived by his brother, Gary Griffin of Cecil, Georgia, and a sister, Peggy Griffin Allen of Valdosta, Georgia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Lee Griffin. A graveside funeral service for Mr. Griffin will be held Friday April 25, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Fellowship Church Cemetery, 2239 Hutchinson Pond Road, Hahira, Georgia, with Rev. Johnny Hendley officiating and Peggy Griffin Allen providing the eulogy. The family will receive friends at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., Adel, Georgia prior to the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family of Mr. Griffin. A benefit concert, in honor of Mr. Grifiin, is planned for May 3, 2014 at Drexel Park in Valdosta.
