Jon Dale Brown of Sarasota died May 14, 2014 at his home. Visitation will be Monday, May 19, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Jennings Funeral Home. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. May 20, 2014 at Jennings Funeral Home and burial to follow at Sarasota Memorial Park. Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Ludt of Gainesville; a son, Kendall Brown and daughter in law, Stacey Brown of Bradenton; grandchildren, Nicole Ludt of Gainesville and Kyle and Tyler Jon Brown of Bradenton; a brother, Jim Brown of Cocoa Beach and a sister Cindy Anderson of Bradenton. Born in Cloverdale, IN July 29, 1939, the son of the late Harold Brown and Dorothy Fitzgibbons. Jon was a loving husband and father. An overseas veteran of the US Air Force. He was head of FAA contracts with Loral Data Systems until he retired. Jon enjoyed his 20 years of retirement by fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
