Bennie Lou Garrett, 20, bride of 8 months died of a gunshot wound to her head. Kinney Funeral Home ambulance was rushed to bring her to the Stamford Sanitarium; however she died in route to Stamford. The ambulance fee was not be paid and Holden Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
The early remark by the Justice of the Peace, S L Coggin was that it is likely suicide. No reason had been determined for the cause.

Services were held in the Gillam Four Square Church and interment was in the Munday Cemetery by Holden Funeral Home.
