Judd Blakeman, 74, of 219 S. State St. died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at St. John's Hospital.

Born in Kentucky, he resided most of his life in Springfield.

Mr. Blakeman was a member of the West Side Church of Christ and Carpenters Local 16.

He was a retired employee of the Vredenburg Lumber Co.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; three sons, John of Springfield, Albert of Taylorville, Robert of Arlington, Va.; one daughter, Mrs. Inez Smith of Wood River; one brother, Guy of Columbia, Ky.; two sisters, Mrs. Inex McBurnie and Mrs. Emma Gossard, both of Hot Springs, Ark.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Bisch Memorial Home with Rev. Floyd Strader officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
