L.W. Locklin, 2nd son of Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Locklin of Monroeville and grandson of the late L.W. Locklin whose name he bears passed away shortly after 5:00 Wednesday morning in the Mobile Infirmary. L.W. was stricken on Wednesday of last week and rushed to Mobile for an operation for appendicitis. Complications followed and throughout his illness his condition was critical. Monroeville was stunned on Wednesday morning at the news of the death of this popular child. LW was a member of the Junior II class at Monroe County High School and was a favorite among children and adults alike. The body was brought home by train on Wednesday afternoon and funeral services were conducted from the home this Thursday morning. Surviving the child are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Locklin; 3 sisters, Irene Moore Locklin, Corinne Rives Locklin, Bertha Estelle Locklin; 4 brothers, Clarles Locklin, A.J. Locklin, Jr., John Marshall Locklin, Robert Rives Locklin, and his grandfather, J.H. Moore, Sr. of Perdue Hill.
