Cody Adams, 18 of Center Point, Texas, passed away on May 9, 2014 at University Hospital in San Antonio. He was born in Kerrville, Texas to Paul and Dawn Adams on July 11, 1995.

He went to school in Center Point and graduated from Center Point High School in 2013. He was Drum Major for the Center Point Pirate Pride Band his 10th, 11th, and Senior year. He received the Patrick S. Gilmore Award, The Directors Award for Band, The Quincy Jones Music Award and the Semper Fidelis Award for Music Excellence. Cody had a passion for playing the drums and guitar. He was a member of the RX Motorsports Team and developed a love for cars. Cody enjoyed drag racing and autocross racing in his 2006 Ford Mustang. He was an avid NASCAR Fan and his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. We attended many races at Texas Motor Speedway.

Cody is survived by his father, Paul Adams; mother, Dawn Adams; younger brother, Kelby Adams; his little sister, Kiersten Adams; grandparents, Tish Taylor, Johnny and Debbie Adair, Connie Baldwin, Lawrence Hayes; great grandmothers, Big Mama and Laverne Grantham; aunts, uncles and many cousins. Cody also leaves behind his fiancee, Erin Wilson, who survived the accident and is currently recovering at University Hospital in San Antonio.

Visitation will be Friday, May 16, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Grimes Funeral Chapels with Frankie Enloe of Turtle Creek Community Church officiating. Burial will follow at Center Point Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kelby Adams, Nicholas Adair, Marc West, A.J. Robertson, D.J. Rosenthal, Phillip Guidry, Max Watson, Erik Sprowls, Chris Cherry, Kaleb Priour, and Jacob McCray.

Memorials may be given to Union State Bank.
