Kenneth Billings Shulsen
Kenny B. passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014, after a three year battle with serious multiple health issues. Born in Murray, Utah May 25, 1969 he was the second child of Kenneth Vance and Peggy Ann Billings Shulsen. He grew up in Midvale and Sandy, Utah and graduated as an honor student from Hillcrest High School, where he served as Senior Class Secretary, a member of Senior Pride and was a letterman on the 1987 State Championship tennis team. He attended Dixie College where he was a member of the National Honors Society and graduated from Utah State University, where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity, with a Master's Degree in History. He served an Honorable Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bristol, England.
Kenny B. loved sports and served as a writer for Lasorda's Lair, a blog for the Los Angeles Dodgers professional baseball team.
October 11, 1997, he married his College Sweetheart Tami Lynne Taracena and together they had two children, Luke Kenneth and Tyler Steven (deceased). Kenny B. is also survived by his parents, sister, Stacy Ann Rice (Kevin) and his nephews Austin Kevin and Kade Justin Rice.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley located at 1007 West South Jordan Parkway (10600 South) South Jordan, Utah. A private graveside service will be held immediately following the Memorial Service for close friends and family at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, located at 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, Utah.
