Robert August Julien Robert August Julien, 85, was born April 30, 1928 in Illinois and passed away December 3, 2013 in Visalia, California. He served in the Navy. he was a prominent business man being owner of Julien Oil Company and one of the founders of the Alliance Group. In addition to hard work he loved to read, travel, snow ski, work in his yard, attend church and his morning talks with God. He will be missed by his children, Shelly Gill of Visalia, Melinda thomas (Weyman) of Los Angeles, Roch Julien (Gina) of Visalia. Grandchildren, Tiffany Beggs (Michael) of Visalia, Brent Gill (Megan) of Visalia, Zachary Julien (Megan) of Bakersfield, Taralyn Thomas of Los Angeles. Great-grandchildren, Tristin Morales, Even Morales, Ashlyn Beggs, Madilyn Beggs, Bailey, Bella and Brayden Gill, Audriana Julien. He was preceded in death by his son, Eric Julien. A memorial service with Military Honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Visalia. In lieu of flowers please send donations to George McCann School, 200 E. Race Street, Visalia, CA 93291.
