Mr. Liesenfelt was a resident of Mundelein for 57 years. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp. veteran of World War II, having completed 35 missions as a B29 Aerial Gunner with the 20th AirForce on Guam Island.
Survivors include his children, Sue (John) Hagel of Mundelein, Bob (Deb) Liesenfelt of DeForest, WI., Tom (Lori) Liesenfelt of Minneapolis, MN; his grandchildren, Scott (Jamie) Hagel, Joy Hagel, Shannon, Nicholas, Christopher, Amy and Jennifer Liesenfelt.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years Dorothy; brothers, Anthony Liesenfelt, Leslie Liesenfelt; his sisters, Evelyn Halon, Loraine Fairfield.
Visitation is from 3-9 pm Friday at the Kristan Funeral Home P.C., 219 West Maple Ave. (2 blocks west of Rt. 45 on Rt. 176), Mundelein.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the University of St. Mary of the Lake Seminary.
