White, Charles R. "Big Red" age 80 of Maryville died Sunday, May 6, 2001 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a Veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Marines. He retired from ALCOA with 45 years of service as a Electrician. Preceded in death by parents, Worth and Mary White; three brothers, Reed, Clyde, and Clarence White. Survivors include, wife Marjorie White; step-son and wife, George and Leola Powell of Knoxville; daughter-in-law, Linda Guettner ; grandchildren, Robby Sparks, Beth Jones, Scott Powell, Shawn Powell, Joy Nattele, and Elizabeth Nattele; great grandchildren, Kayli Jones, Kayden Jones, Emily Jones, Cara Sparksm and Megan Sparks; several beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2001 at Smith Mortuary with Rev. R.M. Everett officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday May 9, 2001 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the Entombment. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Mortuary, Maryville
