Gary was born to Donald L. and June (King) Hogue. He married Susan Cowden on Oct. 9, 1977, in Elmwood. She preceded him in death in 2009.
He is survived by his mother, June (Ron) Northrup; three children, Donald K. Hogue, Cameron P. Hogue and Brandy (Jimi) Roberts; his companion, Luanne Thurston; two sisters, Katherine Luedtke and Pamela (Alan) Dennis; and three grandchildren, Gage Hogue, Jarett Roberts and Desi McCoy.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Gary was a supervisor at ILPEA in Galesburg.
He enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren, blues music, playing guitar and his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
