DILLEY - Rosie Mary Koricanek Hunter, 82, of Dilley and formerly of Flatonia, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2004.


She was born April 27, 1922, in Flatonia to the late Charlie and Lena Syrinek Koricanek. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dilley.
Survivors: son, Carroll Ross Hunter of Dilley; sisters, Viola Holt of Harwood, Millie Owens of Odessa, and Allene Phillipus of San Angelo; brothers, Julius Koricanek of Arlington, Wash., Freddie Koricanek of Gonzales, George Koricanek of Seguin, and Walter Koricanek of Nordheim; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by: husband, Q.O. Buck Hunter; sister, Elsie Catching; and brothers, Emil Koricanek, Frank Koricanek, and Louis Koricanek.

Visitation will begin noon today at Smith Funeral Home chapel.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Oakhill Cemetery, the Rev. Gabriel Maison officiating. Smith Funeral Home, Flatonia, 361-865-3311.
