Robert had lived in the Chattanooga area most of his life. He was the son of the late Robert and Emma McCorkle. He was preceeded in death by his brother Edwin and sister Sue McCorkle Thoams.
Robert was a loving kind man and father. He is survived by his loving wife Norma, brothers, W L and David and a sister, Patricia. Also left are his dauthter Robin McPherson, several grand children and great grandchildren.
Robert was retired from Combustion Engineering after 30 years of service. Robert was an avid reader. He enjoyed golf, leather working, bowling and was a pilot for Ace Norris.
Rober was a member of Sherman Hill Baptist Church and retired from Combustion Engineering.
Robert was a US Army Veteran and a member of American Legion Post 95.
