Theodore "Ted" H. Warren, 91, Wooster passed away, Thursday, May 15, 2014, in the Smithville Western Care Center in Wooster.

Theodore was born Nov. 13, 1922, in Parma Heights and was the son of Francis and Charlotte (nee Hartman) Warren.

Ted moved to Savannah when he was a teenager and entered Savannah Consolidated School as a freshman and graduated with his high school class in May 1942. He married a high school classmate Evajean Shriver in October 1943.

Ted was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II. He was employed at the Wilkins Air Force Base Supply Depot in Shelby for 13 years, then four years in Ashland at Philway Circuit Co.

From 1962-1986 he was employed at National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) in Cleveland. Ted retired in December 1986 from NASA and moved to Anderson, S.C., and accepted a position at Tri-County Technical College in Pendleton, S.C.

In 1995, he and Evajean returned to Ohio and settled in Wooster. He was a history buff -- biography, steam engine trains, old cars and big band music. He received a patent in 1953.

Ted attended the Northview Alliance Church in Wooster.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years of marriage, Evajean Warren of Wooster; a daughter, Judith (Dr. B.R.) Boyce of Baton Rouge, La.; a granddaughter, Natacha (Brett) Poirrier of Baton Rouge, La., a grandson, Guss Boyce of Philadelphia, Pa.; three great-grandchildren, Bailey, Emily and Brayden Poirrier; seven nieces, Carol Parker Engel of Mansfield, Pat (Arden) Fitch, Pam (Ron) Koppler, Portia Hamilton, Paula (Clair) Watts, Peg (Howard) Keller and Phyllis (John) Lariscy, all of Ashland.

In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his identical twin brother, Francis Warren Jr.; two sisters-in-law, Donna Warren and Thelma Hartsel; and two brothers-in-law, Gerald Parker and Marion Hartsel.

A graveside service will be held, Monday at 11 a.m. in the Savannah Cemetery with pastor Geno Colarusso and Arden Fitch, Ted's nephew, officiating.
